Le Tote Unboxing

I was really excited to try out Le Tote once I figured out how it works. For $59 a month you get an unlimited closet. You get styled 5 items once you sign up, two accessories and three clothing items. If you don't like those items you've been styled you can just replace them with something you do like. They are shipped to you within two days and you can wear them for as long as you like! Once you are finished, you can decided if you want to keep an item (for 50% off retail price) or send it back. Once you send your box back in the pre paid envelope, you will get an email prompting you to style your next tote!

I was interested to see if this would save me money in the long run from spending money of trendy items. I feel like I usually spend more than $60 on clothes a month. So I'm excited to give Le Tote a try! I have not been disappointed yet! Plus, an extra bonus, the customer service is amazing.

This Street Level cross-body has been with me all week! I really love the roll tab and gold chain!

These Camilla studs are so gorgeous!

I received so many compliments wearing this dress. The color is gorgeous!

Olive and Oak nautical striped crew neck shirt. Love the stripes and detail on the hem.

Floral printed top, this one had to be my favorite. I love floral prints!

So far Le tote is working out great for me!
Cannot wait to see what I am styled next!
Here is a short video on how it all works!

breakfast outside over the weekend

We spent the weekend in Taylor's hometown of Huntsville, AL spending time with family.
My cup is full.
I absolutely love going to visit family with nothing on the agenda.
Sunday we went to the Sunrise service at church and I loved it! It was the first Sunrise service I had ever been to and I thought it was so cool. That is definitely going to be the new Easter tradition in the Stroud family.
Hope everyone's weekend was as full of love and laughs as mine! It is always nice to carry that over to your Monday!

Holy Week Comes to an END

I've cherished reading the chronicles of Holy Week this week through She Reads Truth. They have written on every post "Take this week slowly and reverently. It is a somber time, but let us never forget: Sunday is coming." And it is so true.
I have tried to really take in this week and the raw truths. But my heart wants to turn away. To read and digest what Jesus went through that week and hours before he gave his life for me makes my stomach flip. I know there is joy coming on Sunday but the days before make me want to hide in my bed and skip over the weekend.
I cannot imagine being a disciple and watching the perfect teacher willingly go through with this plan. But not only do they watch, they turn their backs on him. They spit, throw stones, mock, and put the nails in the cross.
What a mournful week it has been, I am thankful that I have had to face it and prayerfully take it in every day. Jesus prayed a prayer of lament yesterday in the garden of Gethsemane to his Father and ended it with "My Father, if this cannot pass unless I drink it, your will be done." Matthew 26:42. He knew then that this is where he would wait for God's plan to be executed.
People, don't take this lightly, this story is exactly why you and I can have eternal life.
Give praise to the one who died and rose again!
He is alive!

I think these blue jelly sandals are just perfect for trips to the lake, beach, and pool.

Scallop Romper// Off the Shoulder Striped Midi// Scalloped Wrap Top// Striped Wrap Top// Long Sleeve Dress// Seersucker Dress
Target has really stepped up their game this spring. How cute is that romper and the striped off the shoulder dress?!

I've had to learn that shopping for cute trendy items doesn't have to bank.

Matcha Antioxidant Face Mask
These products are completely amazing, I am a huge fan of Sun Bum for SPF, also this Matcha face mask is going to be awesome for soothing sun kissed skin. Pixi is a super affordable awesome line that has a huge following. Put this glow tonic on and watch your skin glisten.

Ballin' on a budget? These items are perfect for you.

THE dress for spring

I've always been a fan of Show Me Your Mumu but have never really bought anything from them. Until now.
I bought this dress in one of their christmas sales along with this tank (that i love to work out in).
It was definitely worth it, this dress is so flattering and so easy to wear.
I love how flowy it is. I have a feeling I will be wearing this dress out this spring/summer.
I also love the new spring line that they have come out with.

This picture was taken a few weeks back when the weather was warmer. If you live in Alabama you know that it is a blistering 47 degrees right now.
Ah, Alabama weather, you always keep us guessing.
I went from wearing this dress in February back to my sweaters and scarf in March!

Hope everyone had a great weekend!
We spent ours hanging out with friends and family!
Happy Monday!

Reading: I've just finished reading Jen Hatmaker's For the Love book. If I were a book, this is the book I would be. It has recipes for delicious food, it has hysterical witty jokes, and it has Jesus. I mean what more could a girl want.
I've had a huge girl crush on Jen Hatmaker for a while now and love everything she puts out. If you want a real, raw book then this is the one. I am all for empowering women with love and encouragement, and that's what this book does.

Watching: Taylor and I are anxiously anticipating the new season of The Unbreakable Kimmy Schimdt on Netflix (just try and get that theme song out of your head). If you haven't heard of this then it's not too late to get on board! The new season starts in April, so there is still time to binge watch the first season. If you like Tiny Fey and sassy gay black men then you will love this show.

Drinking: It's time for infusing my water again! Summertime is when I can add whatever fruit concoction to my water pitcher and feel like I am at the beach when really I am sweating it out on my back porch. But really, it adds a crispness to the water that I love.
But can we at least have one week of spring in Alabama before it goes from winter to summer overnight?! I digress...

Planning: Speaking of 80 degree weather. It's almost time for the beach trips! I could lie and say that I don't care that I married into a family with a beach house but that would be a big fat lie, it is awesome that we have a free beach house to go to. (I am also very thankful for it, and love that it provides so many fantastic memories)
We are planning our beach trip to Hilton Head in May and I cannot be more excited.
Taylor wants to try and limit our trips to the beach this year, something about money and starting school, I don't know I wasn't listening. I was too busy buying a swimsuit.

Loving: Okay okay, I am loving the weather a little.
I am ready for pool trips, lake trips and beach trips!

Have a fantastic weekend everyone!

flare

How bout this outfit?!
I really love this outfit, it is so much fun to wear! I feel like this flare jean tricks everyone into thinking I'm really tall. And we all know that's not true.

So here's a little secret, these jeans are Citizens of Humanity from this awesome website called thredUP. I like to shop smart, and when I can buy gently used items I totally will. So this site is exactly that.
I am in love.
You can also send them clothes you don't want anymore for store credit, use paypal to get cash, or donate it to one of their cause partners. It's a pretty great idea. I'm sure there are more websites out there like this, but I've used this one a lot.

Hope everyone has a great Wednesday!

blue set

I've always been a fan of two piece sets since they've become more popular.
I came across this one and had to try it out. I love the crop top and that the shorts fit perfectly.
This outfit would be perfect for a girls night out!
I've bought these cage shoes last year at Target and I have loved wearing them! They are so comfy and practically could go with anything.

I hope everyone is enjoying this weather as much as I am, tonight I am throwing a small intimate gathering for my cousin's birthday. It will be fun to have the windows open and to sit outside!
Happy Monday!

immeasurably more

"Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask and imagine, according to his power that is at work within us to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen." Ephesians 3:20-21

I have talked about Scarlet and Gold before but I just love them and what they are all about. I could write post after post about their awesome products. They are pumping out some good stuff!
They sell products of substance and depth, and are also for a good cause.
I love the lettering on this shirt and it is so comfy too.
It is a great reminder of who I give all the glory to every day and who has authority over everything for ever and ever. My prayer today is that Christ will dwell into the hearts of all who read this through faith. It is such a beautiful blessing that none of us deserve but get to receive through God's awesome grace and mercy. I hope you are able to grasp how much God loves you and wants you, the weary, to rest into him forever!

p.s.- I'm glad I had the hat to shield my eyes because it was obviously sunny.

enjoy!

Suede Shorts

I am kinda into some 70's style right now.
I wish my mom would have saved her high school clothes because they would actually be trendy right now! Isn't is crazy how styles make their comeback?
I bought these suede shorts at a local boutique here in Birmingham called South. I love that I can wear them in the summer or in the winter with tights underneath.
I paired it with this open back top and some shoes with a pop of color.
This would be a great outfit for a summer concert or music in the park!
Enjoy!
