I kept everything! 

That's not something you hear me say very often when I unpack a Stitch Fix, but this time everything was too perfect! 

1- Loveappella Loma Knit Dress

This dress fit beautifully, and I love the style. I cannot wait to wear this out on a date night, or throw on some sneakers and wear it to brunch. It's also a great transitional piece for fall. 

2, 3, 4 - Collective Concepts Kass Crochet Detail Top, Level 99 Corey Printed Linen Short, and DV8 Lonna Hurache Front D'Orsay Flats

I fell in love with this top and shorts once I put them on, once again this box fit like a glove. I was so excited! These shorts have such a cute detail on them plus they are high waisted, extra yay! This top is one of my favorite colors to wear, also another transitional piece, just throw a cardigan over it once the temperature starts dropping. 

5 - Market & Spruce Poplin Eyelet Detail Top

I specifically asked for a white collared top and I love this one that was sent! It is a classic white top with a little eyelet detail on the bottom that makes it extra special. Also, the shoes are another favorite. I love the neutral color and the fact that these can be worn well into the fall. PTL for transitional pieces!

new favorite summer products

When it comes to my skin in particular I have to have hydration. When I am working 12 hour shifts at the hospital I don't always get to drink my 8 glasses of water a day. I am lucky if I get one glass!

These two products have become my lifesavers during these hot summer months.
 I've never really used serums before but I am now a believer! This Hydrating B-5 Gel serum has done wonders for my skin, I can tell a difference from when I wear it and when I don't. It also helps my skin have this glow that I can't get enough of. It's key ingredient is hyaluronic acid which is a super hydrator and works with the body to hold moisture.

The Water Drop Moisturizer is something I received recently in a Birchbox and it is a new beauty staple on my drawer. I love everything about this from the smell, texture, and impact it has on my skin. It looks like a mixture between a gel/moisturizer, and it leaves little water droplets that you pat on with your fingers to allow it to blend in. 

These products are really great because they can be used year round, in the summer when it's hot and in the winter when your skin gets really dry.

Summertime calls for amazing summer products and here are three of my favorites! 

Supergoop Sunscreen Oil- love this oil for everyday purposes and the beach! It does not break out my skin at all! 

Coola Face SPF 30 - you can never have too many sunscreens for your face, I love this one and the cucumber scent. Great for layering under your makeup! 

RMS beauty makeup remover wipes - these have got to be my new favorite remover wipes! perfect for travel or when you are way too tired to get out of bed to remove your makeup. They are a remover/moisturizer in one. The coconut smell is fantastic too. I love the way my skin feels after using this! Out of the three, this one is my favorite!

So Far Summer Reads

Nothing soothes my soul more than diving into a good book and getting lost in it. I love looking up and forgetting where I am because I am so into a good book. 

I love going into Barnes and Noble and spending hours sitting on the floor with a stack of books next to me reading the first chapters of them all to see which one sparks joy in my heart. 

Here is a list of my favorites for the past summer (and some from last summer too):

Me Before You: if you haven't heard of this yet then I'm sure you've been under a rock. Such a sweet story with lots of funny witty remarks from the characters too. It's a movie too and I've heard it follows the book pretty closely. 

Big little lies: hilarious novel about the moms you all know and see everyday. It did give me a surprise with the twist at the end. Also, it's supposed to be made into a series on HBO starring Reese Witherspoon and Nicole Kidman, sign me up! 

Denton Littles Deathdate: loved this great quick read, about a boy living in a time where scientists  have figured out a way to determine when you will die down to the minute. This novel takes place on the day of Denton's deathdate. It's pretty hilarious and makes you think too. 

For the Love: Jen Hatmaker is one of my biggest girl crushes(I've said it once and I'll say it again). She love God fiercely and writes books about it. Not only is she hilarious, she is super smart and give great insights! Number one on my list.
